We had some developments on AI taking over the MKWii TT community as a few AI runs have surfaced and are beating the RTA WRs, I also found out from an Arvo K MK7 timesheet video that you can feed a .szs file to ChatGPT and it’ll make a custom track, I asked ChatGPT to create the worst track ever and this is what it made, truly horrific shit, the AI’s are slowly taking over as we speak but before they do let’s talk about human WRs while we still can.

Starting off on rPB we have Kasey once again setting another WR here using the new shroom by JC, getting a .072 improvement! Looks like there’s still a bunch of time to be saved here but Kasey recently got a MKWorld WR and Luke has moved on to KC so who knows when the next improvement will be.

The man himself Jared2K made a return to the WR scene after 4 years since his last WR, reclaiming the BCwii no glitch WR with a 2:19.825, he was criticised heavily by his fellow peers due to him simply giving up before the finish line in a previous PR but he decided not to give up this time and he was able to achieve a new WR!

Another man who made a comeback was 117james on rBC glitch, recently achieving a 2:14.741 beating Tiles’ former WR, interestingly enough he didn’t use the railcut lap 1 but it allowed him to take the railcut normally because the fire pillar wasn’t in the way and that’s all he needed to defeat Tiles!

Moving onto flaps, fittingly is the man with the Man I Love Flaps shirt, Arvo would get his final BCwii glitch flap WR, finally getting the 40.4 he’s been chipping away at for a month!

COLE GILBERT IS BACK THIS IS NOT A DRILL COLE GILBERT IS BACK WITH A RDH FLAP WR, A NEW STRAT TO MAKE THE WHEELIE CUT MORE CONSISTENT AND HE SWITCHED THE CATEGORY BACK TO SPEAR?!?!?!?!?! AND ITS A 29.000 TO TOP IT OFF!!!!!!!!

And finally Luke set 4 flap WRs in 2 days this month on DC no glitch, he achieved this by simply moving more cones! He started off with a 28.087 beating Firestone's previous record by .023 and continued pushing it down to the first sub 28 this category has seen with a 27.994!

#2 Mitchell Healy improved on one of his worst times being DC 3lap setting a 1:28.8 that would’ve been WW tops if Bickbork didn’t play it (spoilers) he also had his chain snatched on the flap being .003 away from WR there before Luke played it, unlucky man.

#4 Arvo Koskikallio picked up the new JC shroom on rPB setting a 1:13.101, I believe he’s looking to take down Alex’s Finnish CR there so I wish you the best of luck with that, he’s also in the Karter Contest 2026 hosted on the PP forums, you should vote for him, he’s makes the templates for these news updates!

#119 Blue Yoshi I honestly fumbled not putting him as a nomination for POTM this month, this young man has been going hard lately on the glitches, with a 1:04 on LC and a 1:34.1 on MT glitch, he also just set a 1:59.1 on flame runner on KC glitch, overall just crazy stuff this guy does man!

How’s it going my fellas, this month has been crazy for MKWii, 8 new 3lap WRs and 11 flap WRs, but before we get into that I just wanted to let you all know (im pretty sure everyone already knows but shhhh) that Will’s MKL replacement, MKWLeaderboards is almost here! There is currently a beta which you can check out here! Also be sure to follow MKWLeaderboards on Twitter (or X if you’re a weirdo) for future updates!

It’s been a little while since we last saw JC on LC 3lap but he’s back better than ever with a new WR, getting the first 1:02 on the category, using brand new “reverse strats” (i honestly have no idea what that means) which allows for faster laps, according to JC a sub 1:01 is possible here which is honestly crazy to think LC would be pushed that far down for RTA, best of luck to JC if he plans to push it down further!

Some british guy got 3/3 tree clip on MT glitch, setting a time of 1:28.841, Demon has been hard at work trying to reclaim glory and got a 3/3 clip of his own, but he failed the bump on lap 3, truly heartbreaking.

Braixen came out of fucking nowhere and beat Guy’s 1,421 day old record on rPB glitch by .048, shockingly he did not use the tree at the start so the 3/3 dream has yet to be done but maybe some day.

Sosis would make his return to rSL after Kasey broke his nearly 9 year reign with the new Baby Daisy strats, although Sosis said “Fuck no baby” and chose to stick with his Day 1 Toadette and reclaimed the record using old strats, he would set 3 WRs this month on rSL, going from a 2:03.526 to a 2:03.408, but I don’t think he’s done just yet!

After 12 years of TF being in the 1:49 range, Luke finally pulled through and got the first ever 1:48 here, this is something he has been grinding on and off for a while now so it was really cool to see it finally come true, but he’s far from alone at the top, recently Dev set a 1:49.122 at 3rd WW and Alperen set a 1:49.126 at 4th WW this month, Alperen also set a BKS lap 1 here not too long ago, it’s only a matter of time before one of these guys pull through!

There has been a recent strat discovery on rPB no glitch this month, JC would find a faster method of doing the lap 1 shroom, it is the most “thats faster? How did no one find this in the 18 years of playing this game” strat ever and it saves like .1. Kasey would be quick to set a run, getting the first .5 with a 1:12.599, it’s currently the only improvement we’ve had so far on this category but it wont be the last, Kasey is still grinding away and Luke was so insanely close with a 1:12.607, missing WR by 16 hours but he too is still playing!

Moving onto flaps, we once again have JC on LC setting 2 flap WRs, first a 18.400 then a 18.398 but Se Fish would come along just a few days later with a bigger cut of a 18.352, I believe these also used the new “reverse strats” but i still dont understand what that means.

Core set a new rWS glitch flap WR of a 21.135, Danny Boy is very upset that this record isn’t on lap 2/3.

Arvo is back playing random glitch categories, this time he decided to play BC shortcut flap with the bullet bike ending cut, he would set 3 new records this month pushing the WR from a 40.661 to a 40.537, he set his last run live on a youtube stream shortly after a false fire alarm, they wanted to stop him but he persisted!

VNix would improve his rDH glitch flap WR, first setting a 12.090 then a 11.882 later that same day!

Se Fish is back with another supersliding WR on... rDS?!?!?!?!?!?! I didn’t even know you could be in a superslide on this track! But I guess you can! Although this record is a bit different compared to the rest of the superslide WRs, after the town section before the dock he was out of the supersliding state and had to drive the rest of the flap with the Wario Bike normally, which he did very cleanly, good stuff Se Fish!

And finally Mitch set a new rPB no glitch flap WR of a 22.242 with spear, the evil flame runner record is gone! He also beat Arjun’s unofficial 22.286 WR which has no ghost or video.

#35 Luke Brown Got the 1:48 on TF alongside 2nd WW on rPB no glitch, to achieve 2nd WW he had to unlock the spear, I didn’t think he had it in him to unlock 12 expert staff ghosts or play a total of 3,600 races but he proved me wrong.

#2 Mitchell Healy picked up LC supersliding for 3lap and got himself 8th WW, he picked up the new rPB shroom aswell, getting himself a nice spot in the top 4 there alongside the rPB flap WR we mentioned earlier!

#6 Danny Boy finally pulled through on the 1:20 on MC no glitch this month getting 8th WW there, he has also been playing BC shortcut setting a 3lap and flap PR there!

#30 Ryley Carroll set a 1’33”33 on GV3 NTSC this month, this time has him ranked #27, congrats!

#32 Jacob Loerzel it pains me that he’s ahead of me this month, unfortunately he fucking sucks at rWS so he gain so much AF when he pulled off the glitch and i’ve been busy not playing the game so I wasn’t able to catch up in time, but we all know that in the long term i will be ahead, so count your days... he also set a 2/3 or a 3/3 jimmey time on DKSC, my bet is on 3/3.

#36 Daelyn set the funniest TF box clip flap PR ever on the game, i also sadly improved my 1:51.109 on TF box clip 3lap which was my funniest 3lap PR, may it rest in peace, I didn’t play a whole lot this month all things considered.

#40 Intel Core got rWS glitch flap as mentioned earlier, he also lost rWS glitch ER by Blue Yoshi and instantly started playing the track.

Heyo! The sun's out and we’re staying inside to play Mario Kart Wii, man i love the summer. This month had a bunch of activity with 3 new 3lap WRs and 14 new flap WRs (Jesus) so let's not waste anymore time and get right into it!

Starting off on Koopa Cape glitch Kei set 2 WRs here, firstly starting off with a small .004 improvement with a time of 1:53.659, just 5 days later he would get a bigger improvement with a 1:53.136, this run got a brand new BKS lap 2 & flap WR of a 15.032, the category still has a long way to go, best of luck to Kei if he continues to play this!

An absolute Demon makes his way onto the Treeway with a brand new glitch WR of a 1:31.461, despite this being a full second improvement to his previous record the ending of this run is the most tragic thing that has happened on the tree branches, if I were you I’d recommend closing your eyes after the net if you plan to watch the run. It seems that he’s not done just yet and we may see a new improvement sooner than we expect!

We’re not done talking about Speed64Demon just yet as there were even more developments over on the flap side. Se Fish (the goat) found a brand new strat for the flap, I don’t really know how to describe it, its like some weird mesh of the normal glitch and benny strat. Demon set 2 new records with this new strat, first setting a 23.557 and another one the next day with a 22.512!

Speaking of freaky glitch categories, fresh off his trip from France, Arvo would return home to finish some business he had left off on Mushroom Gorge glitch flap, on his trip he would set a 3.813, just barely missing out on the record but he wasn’t discouraged as he would get right back into doing attempts when he got home and he claimed glory on the funniest (somewhat relevant) category with a time of 3.685, defeating Nara’s 1119 day old record! Unfortunately no waluigi magic was used for this WR, maybe in 1503 days someone will fulfil the prophecy.

Mitch would set 2 flap WRs this month, firstly on Dry Dry Ruins beating Logan’s 1053 day old record by .061 with a 32.430, a little over a week later he would beat another one of Logan’s long standing WRs on GCN DK Mountain no shortcut, setting a 40.462, beating a 1769 day old record by .049, with his recent domination on these flaps he recently became the player with the most flap WRs, holding 8 currently!

After many, many months of grinding Soul Medley would finally claim the Rainbow Road no glitch flap WR, defeating L$AN’s 2228 day old record by .001 but only 2 days later they would beat their only WR by .068! (so close)

Luke would set 2 flap WRs of his own, starting with Koopa Cape he would set a 43.622 choosing to do lap 2 attempts over lap 1 attempts like what the previous WR did by Logan, and he would set a new flap WR on Mario Circuit with a 24.782... with the flame runner, this is the 3rd time he’s set a flap WR on a spear track with flame runner, he cant keep getting away with this.

Tiles would improve on his rWS flap WR by .023, he also didn’t know Mickey Mouse was a boy (im not kidding he actually didnt)

Bickbork would start working at the local farm over at Moo Moo Meadows and achieve a new flap WR there, setting a 23.741 beating Paul M’s previous WR by .009, he used a BGM in his WR video that's for sure!

JC does what JC does best, get his bike stuck in the ground, does your insurance cover that by chance? Either way he set a brand new Daisy Circuit flap WR of a 25.547 beating Se Fish’s former WR by .038.

And finally Kasey would beat his previous flap WR on GBA Shy Guy Beach by .041! There is currently not video of this time just yet but I have a $200 bet on polymarket on him doing the thingy where you go over the water without hopping, i think it has a name but I fully forgot it, good stuff tho Kasey!

Hello weird little people inside of my computer, before you ctrl + f and type your name in to see what bullshit I said next to your name I got 3 huge announcements to make!

Firstly in relation to these news updates, PLAYER OF THE MONTH IS BACK! This time around we’re doing monthly polls over at the Public MKWii TT server this way you can’t get mad at me for who wins each month as you did it to yourself!

Secondly the rocket league player WillMKW is creating a new site for MKWii time trials, which you can check out here, the website isn’t finished just yet but if you want to stay posted with everything going on you can join the discord linked on the website! Hopefully soon people can stop complaining about MKL going down every 4 nanoseconds like it’s something we can control.

And lastly, just a few days ago flaps were added to mkwrs! This means that legends like Louisdebou, agentdouble and termoPilucco all have WR profiles!

Starting off with a crazy one, just a day after the last news update Luke would finally improve his rDS WR by nearly .5 with a 2:03.060! About 2 months ago Mitch would be the first ever person to get the shroomless dock 3/3 in a run but unfortunate failed the last turn, 2 weeks later he would get another 3/3 but barely fell short of the WR with a 2:03.645, he was the first player in nearly 5 years to truly rival the current WR here and perhaps that's all the motivation Luke needed to return to rDS, after about a month of interesting stream titles he finally achieved the rDS WR he deserved on what i think was his first 3/3 dock.

On June 2nd a very unexpected WR was achieved, a new MG glitch WR by Idriz with a time of 19.618! I have nothing else to add. I have no idea what's going on in this category 90% of the time.

THE MAN HIMSELF INVINCIBLE (PROUD MINNESOTAN) FINALLY STOPPED PLAYING STUPID FUCKING CATEGORIES AND FINALLY LOCKED THE FUCK IN ON TREE CLIP TO NOW CLAIM THE TITLE OF TREE CLIP SPECIALIST!!!!!!!! I NEVER THOUGHT ID SEE THE DAY, YEARS OF BULLYING FINALLY PAID OFF, AFTER 745 DAYS THE SELF PROCLAIMED DKJP GOAT IS BACK ON TOP!!!!!!!

Moving onto flaps we have our monthly superslide WR, but this time im not talking about that british guy instead im talking about that finnish guy Se Fish who DESTROYED JC’s former rMR flap WR with a 27.462, he used new “reverse strats” whatever that means to save time i think.

Mitch would break the tie between Paul M and Logan on rSL flap, first setting a 39.623 and a few weeks later setting a 39.592.

Demon decided to retire Maple Treeway 2.0 and return to the OG, setting a new flap WR of a 42.660! After he crossed the finish line he probably said something like “lets go!” or at least that's what I personally think he would do but that's just my opinion.

Borkbick would set a new rMC flap WR this month of a 28.105, this run is very notable as it uses TRIPLE MOUNDS WOOOO!!!!

And finally Batcake would set his first flap WR on BC no glitch with a time of 45.619!

Hello hello hello! Welcome yet again to another monthly news update, despite the month not being over yet people are still consistently asking when it’ll be released, mkwii players have no patiences I swear man.

Before we get onto the usual stuff, there's a new poll that's been released about the potential reworking of the standards here on the Players’ Page, created by one and only Arthur (no not that one the other one) you can vote on it here (assuming I didn't take too long writing this and it's still up) make sure to vote to give your opinions!

Starting off with a big one, after 7 long years, on and off grinding, the man himself Bickbork would finally achieve his first ever 3lap World Record on this game and of course it was GCN Mario Circuit. On May 3rd he would upload a video showcasing every single PR he has set on rMC starting with a 1:39.340 in March 2019 to his at the time current PR of a 1:30.340... but he would leave us at a cliffhanger showing that he had achieved a 1:30.2 and we would find out what run he set a week later, people speculated what this run could be, was it a new WR? WR tie? Did he barely miss it? Did he WR on a different track and he’s just trolling us? Well May 9th came around and it was revealed that Bickbork finally found his crown and achieved a new WR on rMC with a time of 1:30.226. For the past few years people have been rooting for Bickbork to set a WR here, even despite Logan’s monstrous WR back in July 2022 and the countless fails on lap 3, he always found his way back to the category and he finally claimed it as his own, but I’m sure this isn’t the end, Bickbork has proven that he’s the undisputed GOAT of this category and there’s still a bunch of time to save here, it’s only a matter of time until he gets his next improvement if he chooses to play this again, huge congrats on this achievement Bickbork and best of luck on future attempts!

Moving on we have another huge WR set this month! On May 1st Se Fish would reveal a brand new shroomstrat in this video, it turns out that doing MTs over the gap on the first turn and the normal shroom spot while saving the shroom for the last turn is actually faster, it also has the benefit of eliminating the chain wheelie at the end and being able to get a better angle for the end to finish the race faster due to the finish line being on a slant. This isn’t the first time anyone has experimented with different shroom strats here, as back in 2024 Jack would set a 2:03 using his shroom at the first gap like you would on the flap, unfortunately (or fortunately if you hate that shroom) it didn’t save a lot of time (or any at all) so the old shroom stayed until Se Fish’s new discovery, although ironically enough this new shroomstrat is actually the same one that early WRs here used until PrezEvils 2:06.144 back in August 2008. After Se Fish’s video released a handful of players would quickly set some runs with it but the only one to get a record with it was the man Kasey, dethroning Sosis’ 3209 day old reign here. To the disappointment of Benjilada we have not heard from Sosis since his WR was taken from him (or atleast i dont think so, i was gonna check his chadsoft but the website is too fucking slow) but he is very defensive about his records so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s already working towards reclaiming it.

Onto the final 3lap record this month we have Kei once again on KC, setting a 1:53.663 out of nowhere, no new fancy strats this time around, just crushing anyone's dreams of claiming this record anytime soon.

Now onto flaps, we have JC on LC setting a CRAZY HUGE MASSIVE WR IMPROVEMENT OF .001!!!!!!!!!!

The man Paul M keeps aura farming as he would set another MMM flap WR of a 23.750 and perhaps inspired by the new rSL developments he would TIE Logan’s WR here as well.

And finally Core for whatever reason decided that his previous rDKJP flap WR wasn’t good enough and set 2 WRs here, setting a 5.026, getting painfully close to a sub 5 run.

#7 Vincent Nguyen set an INSANE LC PR of a 1:09.014, so insanely close to a 1:08, he’s also very close to being #1 Vincent on the charts, just play rBC glitch or smth you could so easily pass Braixen.

#8 Danny Boy is ZPL’s biggest fan with the way he talks about Retro Rewind, but outside of playing mid he’s playing MC glitch flap and set a 8.712 putting him at 2nd worldwide, he’s also picked up the new MMM flap strats and got ww tops there just barely, and lastly he got WW tops on LC 3lap glitch, a very busy month for this fella!

Hello hello, I have a big assignment due soon and instead I’m doing this news update in hopes I wont procrastinate on it any longer (i will continue to procrastinate on it)

Starting off on Moonview Highway, Logan would improve on his own WR by .040, seems like he’s still looking for that .6, he also put in the description that he was “Bringing activity to a dead game” I guess the 9 other players who set a WR mean nothing to him #LoganOnTOP.

Moving on to Luigi Circuit, and you already know who it is, the man himself JC continued his on and off grind of cutting down LC’s glitch category, shaving the WR down to a 1:03.147, getting really close to a 1:02 here!

We’re not done talking about LC just yet as we move on the flap category, we have JC and Se Fish both shaving down the flap here down to a 18.442! The current record is held my Se Fish but JC isn't too far behind with a current PB of 18.456.

Speaking of Se Fish, he would come clutch with a brand new Moo Moo Meadows flap shroom strat! Instead of using a shroom for the ending over the small hill of grass, we now use a shroom for the first turn, turning one of the worst flaps into a flap that's just okay. Paul M would be the first and only person to set a WR with this new strat, setting a 23.766! (he set a 23.753 after i wrote this)

Michael Jordan would quit basketball and come to a real sport, Mario Kart Speedrunning, and set a MC no glitch flap WR of a 24.809!

Hello weird little people inside of my computer, welcome to the official March 2026 Mario Kart Wii news update! This is the only place where you can get your Mario Kart Wii news like a month late! (im held hostage to write these every month please help me)

Starting off as usual with the WRs, the superslide has hit its 2nd 3lap category and the unfortunate victim of this attack was Daisy Circuit, JC (or Jed if you don't like nicknames) would be the first player to set a WR on this new category and a completely new entry is used this time around. JC was not the only one who played this category as Se Fish would quickly take the WR away from JC and set his first ever 3lap record on the game here! JC being very protective of his WRs, would quickly reclaim it in a few days using DK (which is short for Donkey Kong, im just using slang) but unfortunately for JC, Se Fish said “fuck no baby” and reclaimed it the next day, JC has set a flap WR after Se Fish’s WR but has yet to reclaim the 3lap, maybe some day he’ll return.

The man Vincent N himself would set another rGV2 glitch WR by simply driving better than his past self.

Luke would make his return to the track that started it all for him, rMC3 and set 2 WRs this month, firstly getting a 1:17.808 then 2 weeks later finally getting a .7 here with a time of 1:17.789.

Logan would return once again to the better MKW and set yet another Moonview Highway WR, he had an unfortunate ending on this run but still beat the previous run by over .1!

Last but certainly not least, Batcake would FINALLY get their first ever WR on BCwiis shortcut category, they would finally implement the DK/Zeke ramp into the shortcut category by doing it on the right side, shortly after Batcakes WR Emil was quick to set a pace that almost beat Batcakes time, but unfortunately died on lap 3, perhaps we’ll see a WR battle here soon!

Now onto flaps, Flambumbimbambunbunbiddybam would come back to the track that gives him nightmares every night (MG) and would set a quick 29.219 there.

A player by the name of Kimi would set a new rGV2 no shortcut flap WR of a 16.362.

Mitch would tie Luke’s rDS flap WR, there’s no video of this run yet but im going to make the assumption he used the new ending strat.

And that's all we have for WRs this month, extremely busy year so far, hopefully this momentum continues!
